Greatest Boleyn Ground Memories
As we are less than a week away from our final game at the Boleyn I thought it would be good to reminisce.

What is the greatest match you have been to at the Boleyn?

Mine would have to be the League Cup game in '09 v Millwall. The whole day, outside the stadium before the game and the atmosphere inside was electric. The whole stadium didn't stop singing that night.

Jack Collison playing with his dad passing away not long before.

Us scoring that equaliser with minutes to go sending it into Extra Time. Just one of my favourite memories from that place.

There are so many that it is hard to choose one but that is the one I think I'd have to go for.

What's your favourite?

Beating Ipswich 2-1 at the end of the 1985/86 season will always be my favourite game.

For me, it has to be the Ipswich Playoff second leg.

The best atmosphere I've ever experienced at a football match.

Same for me Kaks, that game lived with me for a long time and an Ipswich mate I worked with said he had never ever seen or heard anything quite like it.

A truly goose pimples match if ever there was one and I'd love next Tuesday to be like that.

Missed the Eintracht game but was there for the 8-0 demolition of Sunderland with Sir Geoff getting a hat trick in each half

Nothing special compared to most but still probably my first visit.

After hearing about it and the area for years and years experiencing everything around it was great even if the game or atmosphere wasn't.

Boxing Day on my honeymoon. 1-1 vs. Reading. Of the game I just remember everyone with me in Chav Corner getting on Ljungberg when he lost the ball and and seeing Solano score a decent goal.

Re: Greatest Boleyn Ground Memories
the last home game against Ipswich in the 85-86 season, so much riding on it and convinced on the pitch after the final whistle that we were going to win the league (was on the South Bank)

the QF against Everton. another electric atmosphere where it went up another level with Slater's goal. just a brilliant cup tie (on the North Bank)

Frankie Mac's last game for us against Forest. nothing riding on the game after a poor season but the day will always stay in my memory. it was also Des Walker's last game before moving to Italy and i'll always be proud of the reception we gave him before kick off, class. then Macca comes on at half time and steals the show with his hattrick. brilliant day and player (on the North Bank)

Kenny Brown scoring the winner against the Mancs and fucking them up going for the title. that was such a good Man U team and the atmosphere when that goal went in was unbelievable (was on the North Bank)

the 2-2 draw against Man Utd. this was the later version of Fergie's team and maybe better than the early 90's one but i'll never see a better penalty than Julian's that day. Schmeichel would have lost a hand trying to save it (in the Bobby Moore Lower)

The first time I walked up the steps in the old west stand and saw the pitch for the first time will live with me forever.

Game wise, I'd say Cambridge in 93 and then Ipswich play off game.

Ipswich in '86

Arrived late and ground was sold out (loads getting on the tube at UP to go home as I arrived) but got into East Stand at half time as some firemen were coming out. Unbelievable atmosphere and as others have said, a real belief we could go on and win the title.

Thinking more about it, honestly just grateful that my life worked out that I have any memories of it at all.

Tons of respect for those than made it what it is. Including those on here.

Beating Liverpool 4-1 in the league cup, we were bottom of the league, they were champions. It was also the first time I started a song and much to my surprise everyone in the south bank and east side corner joined in (we're on the march with johnnys army....) , that probably sounds a bit lame but it was exhilarating to a fourteen year old kid.

Aston Villa QF 1980 ray stewart penalty - both feet off the ground in the west side

Coventry SF 1981 - team was packed with west ham legends

West Ham v Portsmouth, the bottom two boxing day 2009 - Scott Parker's astonishing one man performance, ran himself into the ground
